Besides on Wednesday I think it was, went and ran errands. I haven't left the Island since around Jan. 3rd, so it was about time I guess. I got my new Sunbeam electric heating mattress pad on Friday I guess, so I stripped the sheets off, put on new mattress pad, washed the sheets, and remade my bed. It was the latest I have ever done this. The UPS guy dropped it off at oh, around 3:30pm. I am so glad I got another. It sure helps.

Oh, dumb me yesterday, I couldn't open my tapestry curtain a thread was hung up over the end. Do you get where I am going with this? So I cleared the SE corner of the living room a bit, got a dining room chair, took off my socks for better traction, and climbed up to unhook the thread. I was using my guns cleaning rod, yup. Well I did get it untangled or whatever, but before I knew it I fell backwards off the chair. It was such a surprise that I only got some major bruising and a bump on my head. I hit the back of my head on the butt of the rifle. I imagine slamming into the carpeted flooring resulted in the bruising on the left side of my back and from my right ankle to my knew is massive bruising and swelling. I laid there for awhile with the doggies giving me a lot of attention. Then I got up, and went and got two ice bags out of the freezer. I am just a very lucky girl I tell you. Randy said he knows I won't stop, so maybe next time wait for a spotter. Right, and pull him down with me, haha.

My neighbor across the road, his wife texted me a couple of days ago and said he wasn't coming back up here for a couple of more months. She is doing another round of chemo, another new drug combo. She said that she is doing it for Mike. So that was tough to hear about that she has to endure that again. I will only plow once in and back so I can walk to sweep off the two boats when it snows then, since two months means around April 15th, and maybe he won't even get back up here then.

The winds are brisk today, and the temps are up a bit. We are supposed to get the mixture of rain, sleet, and/or snow. Not looking forward to that. I don't really want to slip and fall outside, haha, like I can stop it from happening if it happens.

I have started reading a bit again. Not much, but a little. I will try to read a little bit each day to get back into the swing of it.
