Last day of August is here again. Today I am hoping will be alot nicer than yesterday. Overnight Friday night into early Saturday morning we received 2 and 1/2 inches of rain. I am thinking that perhaps in the month of August we may have gotten close to 10 inches in the Central Wisconsin area. I know it has been alot. So wishing for a few days of dry weather. Even though my granddaughter got her kind of lateish in the afternoon, we were outside alot until almost dark. You know the sunsets now at around 7:41pm. When the heck did that happen. Also the sun doesn't rise now fully light enough to walk the dogs until close to 6:30am.

Today we will play, read, eat, laugh, and talk alot. Granddaughter will take a bath, watch an hour of cartoons and have a snack. We will read before bed. Lots of huggling we call it. I have to tell you while eating some cottage cheese while in from a break outside yesterday, she said we will be best friends. Holy cow, that was a tear jerky, then she said she loves me. She is such a sweet little girl. Grandpa will take her to the park to swing and then to the rootbeer stand. This they do alone so he and her can bond more. Since he works nights and then has to sleep during the day, they need time together when they can. My husband has to work tonight because of the holiday and also his usual Monday and Tuesday night I think. I just go with the flow is all. I am taking advantage of the time that she wants to come here alot before she reaches the tweens and teens, then it is all about her friends, as it should be. I am hoping as she gets older and if I am in ok health to take her to Texas to see the hummingbirds in this one town, and I also want to see the fields of bluebells. It is just something I want to do with her. Last night we stood in the road watching a monarch butterfly flying around. We got so excited and talked about how pretty it was. She had on her fairy wings. It was a perfect moment in time, and to be having that moment with her.
