Going to Do Some Sewing...... (2014-04-27 - 4:14 a.m.)

Once it got to 45 degrees outside yesterday the raking fest began. I tell you, two old farts can get a lot of raking done. We raked probably almost 5 hours off and on. A person has to stop and eat and drink a couple of times you know. So we raked, good thing because when I put the doggies out at 3:30 am just a bit ago the sidewalk was wet. It seems that yesterday was the day for no rain. Just glad we got most of the front yard area raked. I am sure we will have to rerake it again. Hand raking is our thatching method. There isn't a lot of lawn because of the pine trees, but you have to rake especially after Winter.

No I still haven't baked that cake. I chose to rake yesterday. Before I did rake though I took down the bedroom curtains and washed them. Still need to put them back up. I also took apart the windows and cleaned them. Holy cow are they cleaned. My husband went and cleaned the Winter grundge off the outside of the big picture window in the living room. This all started because I put up another curtain rod thingy to put another layer of darkness in my bedroom. The first layer is a blind. Now after I sew a way to hang the next layer, which is a celtic dark blue design, that will be the second layer. Then I will put the drapery hooks back in the curtains I washed and put those up. You see it is way to lightish now, and will get even more so during the Summer. By next Saturday the sun will set at 8:07 pm. My doggies and I go off to the bedroom by 7 pm, therefore it has to be darker. I have thought about this project a few times over the years, and I finally almost have it done. I know you all probably think I go to bed way too early, well I get up now for the most part somewhere between 3 and 4 am. Most days I don't nap, and my nap isn't more than an hour. So by 6 pm I am getting tired, by 7 pm usually I am in the bedroom. I walk the dogs one last time around 7 ish. We like our routines.

So since more raking won't happen today, I think that since we haven't gone to my husband's favorite cheese store in Rudolph WI we should go. On Sunday's it is only open from 9-12pm, so if he doesn't get up early enough that won't happen.

I am going to do Farmville for awhile and then I will get going on the tapestry sewing making that into a curtain. I did that in the makeover of a tapestry to a curtain for the craft/granddaughter room a few years back. I should take a picture of that. I love the color on the walls and the colors in the tapestry. The whole room glows. Anyhoo, this is all I got going on for now. Husband and pets are all sleeping, and here I am, somewhat wide awake. Got to be quiet.
