My dad made it through his 7 hour valve replacement surgery. He was in ICU for less than 24 hours. He is now in another room. His color looks good, his vitals are stable. This morning he felt better sitting up in a chair and not the bed. He is standing and shuffling his feet back and forth. My sister emailed me this information. So far good.

Apparently my sister didn't heed the request not to be there with my mother while she waited through my dad's surgery. I just don't get that.

I am waiting patiently for my mom to call with more news about dad.

That is about all I have for now. Just glad this part is done. Time will pass and I hope his incision heals well.
