My husband was fired from his job this morning. So he has some time off to rest now. He was supposed to work Thursday night, but the Director of Nursing called Thursday afternoon while he was sleeping, I had to wake him, and she told him not to bother coming to work last night, to be there for an 8am meeting. So now he has a vacation. This is the first job he was ever fired from. Though remember he turned in his resignation a week ago. So now he will dwell on all of this. He isn't happy how this all ended at this place. Like I have written prior, that ever since these new people took over, they have made it hell for the veteran nurses, especially those who get paid alot. It is sure a sad way to end 16 plus years working in one place. Being walked to your locker, being watched as you empty it out, be escorted out. He came in with this see through bag of stuff. We eventually went through it all, he did alot of shredding, keeping only the last two years forth. So that door is closed, and he has to let it go, I hope that he can do this and move on.

Now my son and his girlfriend are here. They arrived close to 1 pm, they knew on Thursday night that my husband would more than likely be fired. I said they didn't need to come if they didn't want to. My son's girlfriend said that they wanted to, because they could help and be here. I thought that was nice.

Never in my husband's whole nursing career has he had to put up with such strife and negativism at work. I am glad that he is out of there. I just hope that he can let it go, especially the unkind words he said that these three women said to he. He asked about his PTO(paid time off) and they said that they would mail it to him. I will believe it when I see it. This amount of money even after taxes should help us out alot. It is always about the money. He doesn't know anything else except nursing. He started in the army at age 17 and was a medic there. It has been the health/nursing field all his life pretty much. He doesn't have a clue what else he could do. So I hope that this situation that got him fired passes without any terrible consequences. If something bad does happen, our lives will most definitely change.

I need to write this here because it is helping me. I don't want people to tell me stuff like, oh don't worry, etc. I just need to put this here to help me see it in black and white.
