I didn't write in here this morning because I entered one of the poems I wrote in a contest. I had to modify my poem a bit to fit their rules. I will write the poem here. I wrote this poem for a friend of mine whose father died after a long battle of infections in his body. I called it: The Essence of Eternity

Time passes
Emotions drift
Feelings subside
Thoughts change

Fragile in your thoughts
Felt deep in your soul
Cherished deeply, to hard to let go

Memories of past feelings
Tear apart your soul
Wishing for a time when it wasn't just a memory

Wanting and wishing for life as before
Won't let go
Can't let go
Need to let go
Want to let go
Will let go
Letting go

Time changes
Seasons pass
The rain brings you tears
The sun brings you hope
And time drifting on may bring you peace
